Fjord vs. Chevy

No low-riders or California car culture today. We are in Eidfjord, a charming mountain hamlet nestled into the heart of one of Norway's most scenic regions. It is the gateway to Hardangervidda, Europe's largest mountain plateau of soaring beauty.
The house in this shot reminds me of the one I grew up in. It's a house that a little kid would draw with a pitched roof and one window on each side. Today my wife and I will be looking for wild reindeer, treeless moorlands dotted with pools, rivers, streams and the Voringfossen waterfall, a 550-foot cascade plummeting into the cavernous Mabodalen canyon.
