Take two ...

The forecast for the rest of the week isnt great so we decided to make the most of today and headed up Blath Bhalg, which had thwarted us just over a week ago. 

The name can be roughly translated at "flowery pillow or mound" which makes it sound more benign than it actually is.  Yes, there is lots of heather and yes it was blooming but there was only a path for about the first 2/5th, so quite a bit of trudging through the aforementioned heather.

 However the views at the top we worth - the nearby Munros (which we've climbed previously) and up to Glen Shee and across to Angus. 

I must say it is rather nice to be able to head of on mid-week jaunts :-)
