Between fen and mountains

St George

After market shopping in Prades, we popped down to church as it has been a bellringing open day for anyone wishing to learn. The next two days will be formal training sessions with visiting ringers from England. In the afternoon, I had a final meeting at the Mairie before our departure to discuss and finalise some arrangements for the forthcoming festival.

On the way back, I called in to see a friend whose husband is very ill in hospital. He has said he wishes to donate to the church this facsimile reproduction of the stained glass window provided by two of our parishioners. As well as depicting St George, the painting also represents both Oxford and Sunderland where the parents of the donors originated from.
