Tourists For The Morning

This morning, we took a tour of the Boston State House -- something I am ashamed to say we had neglected to do until now, despite the fact that we gaze upon its golden dome every day from our apartment!  Here is a picture of the Great Hall, decorated with flags from all the cities and towns of Massachusetts.  There is a large glassed-in roof overhead, and the angle of the sun made interesting shadows on the walls.

Extras:  Inside the House of Representatives, with a schedule for the last time they sat (July 25th, apparently) bound in -- you guessed it -- Red Tape.  Also a glimpse of the famed "Sacred Cod" which hangs there, a symbol of the fishing industry which brought such wealth to Massachusetts.
