Parting Shot

As we were loading up this morning to leave Finchale Abbey for our next leg of our journey, I noticed that there was a common egret and a grey heron both fishing in the Wear.  I couldn't resist taking some time out to take a few photos. 

The rest of the day was good. Went up to Durham Cathedral, did a bit of shopping in the town. Then, later, when we got to Leeds, our friends were going out to the local park which has a boating lake, and I tried kayaking for the very first time! Fun, but I still prefer canoeing.
