Hornet Mimic Hoverfly

I really enjoy to be out in the fields again for still very short dogwalks.
There were lots of bees at the Heliopsis (not sure about the plant), but my eye was caught by the appearance of this giant fly. I've never seen one before. It is a Hornet Mimic Hoverfly with a great mimicry.
