Just Sophie

It's been one of those frustrating days! dealing with irritating problems: my printer is low on ink but the instant ink company website insists they have sent me new cartridges which they haven't. I then had one of those online chats where they ask you for a whole raft of info before they put you through to an adviser who then asks you for all the same info again. He assured me he'd arranged for new ones to be sent so hopefully that one's solved.

I then had to go through another similarly long rigmarole on line and on the phone to activate an Easyjet currency card, after which our new cooker arrived; we'd paid to have it installed but the delivery guy took one look at our existing cooker and declared that he couldn't touch it because we had a junction box on our current cooker.

It was simple to do apparently and he knew how to do it but their insurance didn't cover it!

Cue another long phone conversation with the store, arranging a refund for the installation costs and asking why they didn't tell us they "couldn't touch" junction boxes or ask if we had one! We now have two cookers that don't work, one in the kitchen and one in the dining room, and have got to get an electrician to disconnect the old one and connect the new.

Thank goodness for some light relief when Kate & Sophie called in as Kate had a meeting with the adviser to finalise her mortgage. Touch wood, that seems to be going ahead straightforwardly.
