world in a grain of sand

thank yous

Enough paper for many, many thank you letters here, I think. It's the paper section of hobbycraft, I just love colour ranges like this - embroidery silks, stacked t shirts, it doesn't matter what!
Had a good day shopping in the morning with Laura - finally bought last Christmas's promised gift of a suitcase, just as well as she has more to take back to Germany than she brought.
In the afternoon, we visited "threads of silk and gold" at the Ashmolean, an exhibition of Japanese embroidery made for export. Worth visiting, the workmanship (well, probably womanship) is amazing. After that we saw the life of Pi - still wondering which was the real story.
