One Crowded Hour

every stone...

...has a home.

So says stone mason Les originally from Devon where he learned his craft and now in WA where (among other stone masony talents) he clads walls and chimneys with stone. (extra)
I've driven by the newest McMansion in the neighbourhood for a few weeks now and this outside feature is a show stopper (or in my case car stopper to have a chat with the dude creating it!)
The 'stones' are from the US and aren't actually stones  (what?) but created from concrete to resemble, well anything you like...granite, Cotswold glow, limestone or sandstone in a variety of shapes, sizes and yes corners.

According to L, every stone mason has an individual style and for him creating edges and corners that aren't just verticals but include 'instones' is important.
And some days are really slow going...when finding the home for each stone is a challenge.
