The Lozarithm Lens

Lower Compton (Friday 30th August 2019)

A busy day included a trip to Honeyball recycling centre. No red kites this time (unless the flying bird in the Extra is one, but I think what looks like a forked tail may actually be a wing) but lots of gulls and a buzzard was calling and flew right overhead at one point, as I was taking this blip, but I didn't have time to change settings.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Quads - You've Gotta Jive (1979)
Had he lived John Peel would have been 80 on this day. One of the bands he championed and had in for a Peel session was this Birmingham four-piece. Their single There Must Be Thousands/You've Gotta Jive he described as "Single Of The Decade" (I think Teenage Kicks was technically an EP). Steve Lamacq played this track in tribute to Peel on this day and I heard it in the car.
