Snipe?

I finished off delivering the monthly parish magazines  this afternoon and this is the view from the drive of one of the houses.
It looks out towards the South downs.  (Incidentally, our son has just completed the South Downs Challenge by running from Eastbourne to Arundel which is 100K, for charity!) 
If you have time look in extras as we had a very unusual bird in the garden last evening.  It's not a good photo as it was through the glass and I didn't have the right lens on the camera but I think it's a Snipe?
