FARS

The Farm Animals Rescue Sanctuary in Wolverton was having an open day.  Not having been there before, even though it's been there since 1988, we went along and were very impressed with the place and work put into it by volunteers.

We went on a 'tour' led by a knowledgeable young man and saw the pigs, sheep, goats, pigeons, chickens, turkey and calf, all of whom have been taken in and cared for.   They have approximately 400 sheep and half a dozen breeds of pigs.

They have an informative web site here

On the way home we popped into the new cafe, The View, opened up at Hill Farm Marina for a coffee. The large building with wonderful views was partly paid for by the EU Social Fund, https://www.hillfarmmarina.co.uk/the-view
