Swedish black hen

We went to Ramme farm today and my grandson expressed many  "Wow" for all the animals and birds he saw for the first time in his short life. 

These are the amazing swedish black hen. They have originated with chickens transported from Mozambique to Norway by sailors in the 17th century. I wonder why they aren't called Norwegian black hen.

The hen has adapted to our cold climate, and has retained the black skin and tissue. 

Even I can say Wow!
