John Fitzgerald Kennedy

JFK gave his last speech in Fort Worth before heading to Dallas.  The spot where he spoke and crowds gathered is commemorated by a monument and statue.  Buddy and I daily walk within a block of this site.  Today is Labor Day in the US and most businesses are closed.  The memorial was quiet and not even the usual homeless people were hanging out.  I had time to ponder the "What ifs" if the assassin had missed or the attempt had never happened.  What would the world look like?  If there had been no President Nixon, what would have been our course?
