A path through the woods

This is a little path along the bottom of a small cliff in the woods near home. There are loads of paths criss crossing the woods but most of them go under low branches or under bushes so I assume that they are made and used by animals

Or small hobbits

Certainly not ents

anyway - didn't see any wildlife at all except for a crow or two
