Last Man Standing

I couldn't resist this image with its lone red cardinal standing amongst a sea of yellow. I love the shapes in the background and in this case also the foreground flowers are out of focus.

I am a bit distracted by the grass on the left, but I can't crop that or clone it out easily. I wonder if sometimes I get fixated on the element that attracted me and overlook others that let the image down.

On the other hand, to make a successful image, sometimes there needs to be a counterpoint - something to move the eye around and explore the whole frame.
