Amsterdam

We are starting a river cruise, so this morning headed out on a canal cruise to see a little of the city and spent some time in the museum area. There wasn’t time to visit the Rijksmuseum proper, but we had coffee and a view of the interior and gardens.

We then continued by coach to Utrecht, where the boat was docked. It had sailed from Amsterdam after we left for our trip.

We experienced passing through the first of many locks as we travelled on to the Rhine. Interesting ever changing scenery.

The passengers are mostly from Australia and New Zealand, so make for very lively travelling companions.
