Biblical Thistles

These are left over from the wedding flowers and they’re still beautiful.

At our Grow Group this evening, we had a one-off study on work as God sees it. And Genesis 3:18 reminded us that we should expect thistles.

The blue Scottish thistle ‘apparently’ connotes bravery, courage, and loyalty in the face of treachery and the tough, painful spikes suggest endurance and fortitude in tough times. So thistles are part of our broken world. The Bible tells us so and for once, google agrees.
