Most people see this in Pearson Park and wonder.

It is in fact the last surviving trace of the old town hall!
The cupola, Pearson Park, Hull The cupola is from Hull's demolished Town Hall built in 1862-66 (erected here in 1912). Note the three coronets worked into the spike, being the emblem of Hull.

The Architect was in fact Hull Born Cuthbert Brodrick who also designed leeds town hall and others
