Firsts

First day of year one (though you’d have been forgiven for thinking he was going into a concentration camp if you’d seen the way he screamed, tried to run away, cried and clung to us!)... he had a really good day, thank goodness!

First afternoon of nursery. Despite having to go in a different entrance to what she’d expected at the last minute, and then having to go off without me, with a receptionist she’d never met (it was playtime so I couldn’t go with her to her classroom... think they could have planned things better!) - she walked in as if she owned the place, confidently holding her book bag like a briefcase by her side! When asked what she liked most about nursery, she said “I loved ALL of it!” Again, thank goodness!

Little things! But a lot less little than they were.
