Wimpole wanderers

Today was a double parkrun day - first of all I completed my second 5km run at Milton Country Park, which was muddy but definitely good fun.

At lunchtime Katie and I helped volunteer at Wimpole parkrun - a test event for next week's inaugural run. The setting was beautiful - a stately hall, acres of stunning countryside and a significant amount of mud. One man lost a sock...

I captured this shot of one of the faster runners in front of the gardens, after just over 4km. The course is very tough for the first 2km, including a steep hill (for Cambridgeshire) but then a gradual descent and a long finish helps the runners to get home.
