Leaving Europe

A grey Le Havre this morning at 9:15, arriving over four hours later in a bright blue skied Portsmouth. Went straight for a wonderful lunch with our friends and ex-Brazil colleagues; they took us to a gorgeous old mill at Fareham, where we sat by the window and watched loads of swans, cygnets, and other birds while we ate delicious English food and tried to catch up on each other's lives - impossible in the time.

Then up the crowded motorways to Sutton Coldfield, straight for a good dinner at Deb and Sam's, cooked by Paul. And I got to read a bedtime story to the grandkids and write their prayers in their prayer notebooks. We featured!

Unfortunately, Mike has been throwing up and I've got the runs... water? overtired? don't think we've eaten anything odd.

PS Sorry about the title!

Gratefuls:
- getting here safely, it's felt a very long journey
- good time with Roger & Angela, faithful friends
- being with our family (and Julia on FT), love them so much
