Afionas Bay

After a 'never to be repeated' hair-raising car journey we found ourselves at the far end of Arillas in the next village of Afionas. There were plenty of signs saying Beach and many 20 somethings heading that way so we thought we would join them! Getting to the beach involved climbing down the side of a mountain on a very steep, rocky path and for me in very unsuitable footwear. However the views were stunning and this double bay made it all worth it. The beach was very busy so we did not stay too long and after the long climb up we had a well deserved meal in a lovely taverna at the top.
