Whit

Whit (Whitney) is now 1 year old. She has proved to be a great dog. She wouldn't be an ideal pet, she's far too highly strung, she is a workaholic. She's far more a 'Huntaway' which her mum is than a 'Collie' which her Dad is. She's very strong and powerful and incredibly fast. She's a brilliant droving dog and will hold back a yard of cattle on her own. It's hard to make her relax and take time off. On the beach she made it her mission to chase off every seagull. She doesn't understand crowds of people. She's not at all comfortable in areas with lots of people. She doesn't tolerate other dogs (other than working dogs and Stanley). She tried to round up a white poodle on the beach. I think she thought it was a sheep. She's a very good guard dog. I wish people wouldn't presume that it's all bark no bite as I'm not sure it is. She doesn't like people she doesn't know. Probably a good way to be lol!

We wouldn't change her for the world though.
