Out and about in Manchester

The cricket was rained off in Manchester this morning so we spent some time in the Art Gallery ( excellent - especially the Lowrys) , and explored the area around St Peters Square. The city centre seems a nice mix of old restored buildings and newer buildings, with an efficient and very cheap tram service. We managed some cricket in the afternoon before an excellent tapas meal for dinner.
