My beautiful Cousin

What a big day and not a photo taken. Left here at 8am and home by 7pm
It was a awesome funeral A wonderful tribute to her tenacity to educate herself. Her father made her leave school and get a job at age 15. After she ws married and had her family she set to  Studying for many years and teaching part time as well as raising her family. She ended up with three degrees and a doctorate.
In later years she belonged to a writing group many of whom were published. Elizabeth had many short stories and poems published  but didn't get her book finished
If you Google her Elizabeth Brooke-Carr and read her soldiers poem written in collaboration with another I am sure you will be impressed.
I have tried to photograph her poem in extras about getting her hair shaved off when it was falling out with Chemo. When she read it to me we both cried.
