Ashdon Mill

I've always meant to go see this, our closest windmill, so as I was heading to the supermarket this afternoon, I made a short detour to Ashdon, as I saw a brief break in the clouds that I might just catch!

"Bragg's Mill" is a post mill, and was built in 1757 by William Haylock, a carpenter in Ashdon. In operated as a mill until 1912, and has gone through various phases of being renovated and going derelict. I'm happy to see that it is in a very good condition at the moment. Today wasn't an open day, but I'd like to go back again one open day to see inside.
