Great Horned Owl.

Why are the owls always in the dark hard to photograph spots?  I was very excited to hear an owl had been spotted when I arrived at the walking path at the wildlife refuge, and was able to spot it from the directions I was given.  Getting a great shot was another thing but it was so exciting to see it.  We are cloudy, darker and cooler today which was nice for walking.
