Unwind

Set off fairly early to the farmer’s market (extra) and bought some nice things to contribute to our bring and share lunch - some goats cheese hearts, salmon pate and mirabelles (haven’t seen them for a long time!) then a coffee before heading over to the flat to take another look at the floors and a think. Bumped into one of the neighbours and apologised for the mess and showed her around, then headed to C’s for our knitting day. A lovely relaxed day of chat, tea, lunch, cake and more chat, all accompanied by knitting on our various projects. I started a very chunky tank top for Mx as I thought that wouldn’t hurt my thumb too much and would be quick to do, the others were doing much finer and more complicated things, but all helping each other and chatting about other projects, family and friends. They’re a nice bunch - just hope my thumb holds out to stick with them.
After we finished I went to do some flooring and lighting shopping (well, looking - I didn’t buy anything) as well as stocking up with food before home and a quiet evening in. Another beautiful sunset - it’s been a lovely warm sunny day which is so nice for all the new students arriving,
