Step,to It.

Elaine stayed over and last night we decided to get to the Bolton Abbey Estate for a run /walk this morning.
Decided to get there as it opened at 9am so we could enjoy the beautiful area with no crowds.
What a good decision Mr P did his run and we walked, meeting the occasional dog walker or some keen longer distance walkers who were just passing through.
I do love this shot of the Priory from this position and l’ve often done it before in different seasons.
Such a lovely day today and the reflections were beautiful.
We saw a couple of walkers decide to walk the steppingstones and they are just starting in my main blip.
I’ve put one on in extras when they neared the middle and if l had been a betting person l would have put my money on them falling in.
They were so apprehensive that they took a long time between stones but l would have lost my money as thankfully they made it.
I took the extra from the comfort of the footbridge next to the stones.
We rendezvoused with Mr P as he finished his run and enjoyed coffee and scones just out of the oven.
This afternoon l have spent wrestling with ivy and climbing roses, a long overdue task and l am covered in scratches.
Mr P laid some bricks as we are changing one end of the garden to make it easier to tend to for next year.
Looks a bit like a dog’s dinner at the moment but you can’t make an omelette without breaking eggs.
It will look okay eventually. but sometimes you wonder why you start a job.
