Monday Monday - Reflections

Off to Rydal with the photo group today.
It was bitterly cold, and sleeting, but we're a hardy lot.

Rydal is a quaint little town, renowned for its daffodils and lovely train station.
Yesterday was the daffodil festival, but the weather was so vile that the crowds stayed away.
Sad for the little town, which relies heavily on this annual event.

I have plenty of pretty pics, but preferred this, which was taken at the bar of the local showground.
L to r we have Penny, who used to blip, Pauline, who is an occasional blipper and Mr Pauline, who came along for the ride.
The buildings at the showground are all very much in the Australian vernacular, lots of galvanised iron and timber poles.

Maybe these three are reflecting on the fact that the bar is closed:)
We had a great lunch, organised by Barb and held at her friend's lovely house.

For Isbi's take on the day, and to see more of the Rydal Showground, go here.

Thanks Nickimags.
