Waiting for wee fee

As this was the first working day after our arrival, it was spent getting things in order, like maintenance of the air conditioning and retrieving my tripod from the box in the basement.

The highlight was getting our very own wi-fi router from the Orange shop at Marjane. Strictly speaking, it's Mohsine's router as he is responsible for paying the bills, with our money. I had wanted a net connection for years but it's been impossible because of a lack of the technology at an affordable price. Different now and visitors to the apartment expect a wifi connection. Len took this photo on my phone while we waited for the salesman.

Then a lightning foray through the meat, fish and vegetable souks, with me clicking my xt20 for all it was worth to capture street and market scenes. Tangier is changing all the time and yet not changing at all. Photos will appear on Flickr some time.

Back to the apartment to set up the router. Wonderful. Then we sat back and read. I finished Victory by Joseph Conrad. A typically Conrad ending.

Before we came down to dinner, a refreshing walk by the water of Tangier Bay. Huge thunderhead cloud over Spain which didn't come south.
