What I've Done

15Km trail race

After the rains we've had recently, the weather was wonderful for our 15Km trail race today. The route started in Keswick, took up up and round Latrigg, then up the Glendaterra valley through the Glendaterra bogs - and it WAS boggy! There was a single-file route through the bog, so the pace was very slow. We haven't done nearly as much training as we wanted to, but felt pretty fresh and were doing really well - certainly looked like beating last years PB time - until Deb tripped on a rock and bashed her head, thigh and wrists on rocks by falling. She's a gutsy thing, and after about 3 minutes recovery, we got going again.

We were delighted to finish in the time we did, and if you were to take those 3 minutes off the time, would have smashed our PBs - so we were really happy (we were only trying to break 2 hours this year!)

The photos show the before (left) and after (right - with our finishers T-shirts) versions!
