Homecoming

Backblip - a continuation of yesterday's story (please look back)

There was indeed light at the end of the tunnel. Before long the blue shades of the wormhole started to lighten, then change to orange and yellow. All of a sudden, with a great whoosh, a door opened and they found themselves standing once more on the ledge by the fairy door.

Sam's ladder was thankfully long enough to allow them to reach the floor, the lego stair construction they had initially climbed up had long since been swallowed by Hoover. Sam and Bill the binman were first down, to make the ladder secure. The others stood on the ledge and looked out. "We're home!" shouted Lily. "But where is everyone?" Amanda replied.

I helped them down and explained that it had been four months since we'd heard anything from them, the day they had found the wormhole in the land that time forgot. "But that was only yesterday", said Amanda. We soon realised that the wormhole the natives in the land that time forgot had taken them to was a wormhole in time as well as in space. One day to them had been four months to us. I reassured them that as soon as the news got out others would be there to welcome them home. "And so will our friendly Blippers" I said. "That's great!" shouted Lily.
