Beechwood Wander

A much pleasanter day today, so I went up to one of my favourite woodlands to put my new lens through its paces.  There were plenty of fungi around - as I'd hoped. I'm calling this one Tricholoma sciodes  or Beech Knight, as it seems to fit all the macroscopic criteria. I've put another fungus image in extras - I'm more confident of the ID as I had a bit of help from an expert a couple of years ago. It has a distinctive purple stem, and although that's not unique even for a Webcap, it narrows it down nicely to Cortinarius mucifluoides.
