The church of peace

In Świdnica. It’s one of the three Protestant churches allowed to be built in 1658 in Silesia after the end of the 30 year lasting war. The churches had to be built from wood and clay, outside the city walls and had to be completed within one year. The other church is in Jawor, the third one in Glogow burned down in 18th century. The church is magnificent, beautifully decorated and can accommodate over 7000 people. No wonder it has been selected as one of the UNESCO heritage sites.
