Goodbye Jasmine

The Jasmine on the corner of our house had gone beserk to the point where it had pulled the drainpipe clips out of the wall snapping the lugs in the process!
Yesterday I got the ladders out and precariously cut it back only to find that the branches of it were about 2 inches thick behind the drainpipe so it all had to go.
We've left about one foot (approx 30cm) so hope that it will sprout again but we'll have to make sure it does not locate itself behind the pipe again.
Photograph on the left is an old one from a few months ago so you can see how high it was, and this was after being cut down to that height after we noticed it had actually reached the roof guttering!

So, today I loaded three King size sheets of jasmine into the back of the car because the green, garden waste, bin was crammed.
Busy morning, and this was the sequence;

0840 - Jonty to the groomers
 - B&Q (DIY Store) to get two new drainpipe clips to replace the ones that had been broken by the jasmine.
 - Stop off at Thunderroad to pick up the service contract documentation for the Harley
 - The tip to get rid of the jasmine
 - To my friend and fellow RBL Riders to pick up a new, and named (Dave Rose) RBL Riders Polo shirt.
 - Home for a coffee
 - back off to the groomers to pick up Jonty
 - Ladders out and fix all three drainpipe clips
 - Use ladders to paint the tatty looking flagpole
 - Pack away the large umbrella
 - clean up and pack away the large patio table and 10 chairs
 - clear out the shed to put it all away and bring the table extension to the front (for Christmas, I think we'll need them!!!!).
 - Sweep off the patio and back paths onto the lawn
 - mow the lawn
 - Sleep for 1 hour!!!!!!!!

And now relax aaaaaahhhhhhhh!
