Clematis

Dumfries House Estate is a great place for a visit.

After a cuppa and a shared cherry and white chocolate scone  L and I headed through the aboretum to the Queen Elizabeth Walled Garden.

Plenty of flowers still in bloom. It was rather blustery and most of the gladioli had taken the worst of the wind and were lying on the earth or on the paths. Clematis plants are tough and cling on tightly to any nearby support.
