Fiddle

But not just any fiddle! This was Robert Burns fiddle. I was delighted to attend a reception at the Scottish Parliament tonight, sponsored by John Swinney MSP where both Robert Burns and Niel Gow's restored fiddles were played.

This fiddle was actually found in pieces at a farm in Mauchline and has thankfully been restored. It has some very intricate inked designs on it. The neck is also 1 and 1/2 inches shorter than a regular fiddle.

So incredible to hear both fiddles played together.
