Golf Team

What a fabulous day! Four of us from church teamed up to take part in the Rigby Financial Charity Golf Day in aid of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. A member of our church was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer last Christmas and the family are organising lots of events this year to support this charity. 

We had a great day. It's the first time I've been involved in a golf competition or charity day like that. The weather was kind to us. The game was Texas Scramble with a shotgun start. Yes, I know it sounds more like a card game in the wild west! I've never played those rules before and it was great fun. Needless to say we didn't get anywhere near winning but, for once, that was not what it was about. Two of the official photos can be seen in the extras.

After the game we changed for dinner and enjoyed an evening of good company and a lovely three course meal, as well as the prize giving, raffle and auction. So pleased to have been part of such a special day.
