Homeward Bound

Stopped off in Glenfinnan on way home and followed the Glenfinnan Viaduct Trail from the station, a circular route  which in addition to affording greats views if the viaduct also took you underneath it .

We just missed the Jacobite Steam Train but enjoyed passing it en route. I suspect that parking would have been near impossible just before it was due - it is a very popular attraction.

I have enjoyed our short break to as far west as you can go on the mainland. The penisula felt very remote and its geology was very different - must read up more about it.  Now planning to visit some of the islands we could see from the shore (in 2020 !).
