Brough of Birsay

I walked along the shore from Birsay Bay to Long Geo then back to the Brough. A wait of ten minutes and the tide was low enough to cross. Pretty heavy showere while I was over ther, and some sun. Not much in the way of migrant birds- some pink-feet, wigeons have arrived, two wheatear and the other usuals. Lots of gannets and fulmar heading west. I'm a sucker for birds flying against the surf.
