Art Nouveau in Palma

This morning we flew from Madrid to the city of Palma on Mallorca, a large island in the Mediterranean off the eastern coast of Spain. We had an excellent lunch on the top floor of our hotel--the 8th, with a  panoramic view of the city. Despite napping more after lunch, we had time for a good walk to explore the old city center around our hotel. It is really lovely, and fascinating. This is the Casasayas building (dated 1910--see the extra), in what is here called the modernist style. It's essentially the same Art Nouveau that we experienced wonderfully two years ago in Riga, Latvia--see especially the extra in that blip.
