Meet Ben Wilson

It’s a funny world. Some of my Edinburgh colleagues stayed over in London last night. They’d been on a guided tour and had walked over the Millennium Bridge. They learnt something about it that I didn’t know. I was aware that there are little works of art in the metal grating and I had seen the artist painting them. But I didn’t know that he was called Ben Wilson and I didn’t realise that he was painting the chewing gum.

And this evening as I was walking back he was there talking to some people. Note that he is covered in paint. The extras show some of his paintings that he’d just finished by the Tait Modern. They are tiny. In the extras you can see a cigarette stub.
