Acidanthera

Here is my beautiful acidanthera plant that sits outside the studio.  I planted the bulbs a bit late and was feeling sad that they weren't flowering like i was expecting them to...i first saw them at my dear friend Charlotte's place and loved them!   but then a couple of weeks ago they started blooming and they are just so beautiful!

It's been a lovely day, headed up to Sydney on my own early, i love getting out of the house early to go shopping!  Lots of things on my list, the art workshop is next week so this was my last chance really to get some of the stuff i needed!   And of course a trip to Sydney wouldn't be complete without an hour or so in Value village and it did not disappoint this time.   Apart from some lovely new tops, jeans etc., i found 2 very nice watches...i'd lost mine a few weeks ago (i'll probably find it now that i've bought a replacement)....that was kinda nice!

Poor Terry has been going mad because we have a very bad beaver in the pond and it's jamming up the culvert between the 2 ponds.   Each evening he has to go down to the ponds and dig out all the stuff the little bastard has put in there.   It was very close to be totally plugged this evening......this would have been disastrous, and could flood the road!   He's getting ready to put more serious action into dealing with it!!

Home made pizza tonight, with homemade pesto from the garden...mmmm good!
