The other one

She sleeps in such strange positions and her body is so bendy and long. The other one, pictured yesterday, is solid and heavy and only really sleeps in the one way.

Today is the day that one friend weeps with her adult daughter who has fallen into a pit of grief and another friend who weeps in physical struggle and over a difficult prognosis but rejoices in the safe arms of a Sovereign Lord. I wish one friend knew what the other one knows.

Stupidly, I put this paragraph in yesterday’s blip, because I posted it this morning. But it belongs today ...

I am also almost unable to express my sadness that a very good friends almost-son-in-law was the young 26 year old that fell 1300 feet down a ravine in northern Greece. He’s been missing since Sunday night and the week has felt endless in the waiting. He was seen from a helicopter on Wednesday but rescuers couldn’t get to him before this morning. There was so much hope but today, that hope was taken away.
