Down under in Kent

A new adventure today for the 3 Amigos. Under this corner of Kent is a network of caves, 22 miles of them! They are man-made and were excavated between the 13th and 19th centuries. They have been used for various purposes, from growing mushrooms to housing 15,000 East Londoners overnight every night as a giant air-raid shelter during the Blitz. One baby born in the caves during that time was christened Cavena!
I wondered whether the boys would find a trip to the caves a bit scary, but brave dogs that they are, they loved it.
