Channel country

This is the country yesterday’s dinosaur footprints were found in. BIG cattle stations out here. The land is arid most of the year and can only support one head of cattle per 4 acres, or so. You need 100,000 head to make a viable cattle station. Properties smaller than 400,000 acres are referred to as hobby farms! They need eco-tourism etc as a sideline to remain viable. They tend to get their annual rainfall on one big dump. When that happens vast areas can flood. Hasn’t rained for six months.
