Downton, the Movie

Well, what can one say? Downton is almost an institution and there were hopes for the film too. In truth I enjoyed it. Escapism; sentimental; saccharin even; definitely a little bit camp but very well done and the settings, clothes and the cars were the stars too. Three and a half out of five I reckon.
This evening we went over to the Wallace Monument where there was to be a firework display as part of the 150th Anniversary of the big tower’s opening. The display went ahead and I did take a few photos but the weather was against decent photography so no firework snaps tonight.
