New Year Beachcombing

This photo was taken yesterday by myself on Eype Beach in Dorset. Me and my family stayed there for New Year and we had some fabulous sunny weather - it almost felt like Spring had sprung early. My two daughters spent the day fossil-hunting on the beach while I managed to take some really beautiful pictures. The light was amazing - the sky was cornflower blue, dotted with white, cotton-wool clouds and the contrast against the red shingle and pebble of the beach and cliffs was breathtaking. I particularly love the cloud formation top right of my picture - it looks like a huge, white swan gliding across the sky.
